Type 27: Eros with Aphrodite Nikephoros

Eros standing beside Aphrodite Nikephoros (Aphrodite bearing a figure of Nike) is an extremely rare motif, found principally (solely?) on coins of Scepsis in the Troad.

* Scepsis in the Troad, coins of Faustina Junior (illustration of the reverse), and (not illustrated) Commodus, Julia Domna and Maximus Caesar. Only a handful of specimens are known.
