Type 12: Eros Holding an Arrow

A number of variant motifs, struck in different cities of Asia Minor: (a) Prusa ad Olympum in Bithynia, Eros standing, legs crossed, leaning on a short column and holding an arrow; (b) Poemanenum in Mysia, Eros standing facing, with legs uncrossed, an arrow in his r. hand and his l. resting on an altar, looking either back (the pose similar to that of the Eros of Parium, Type 13) or to the front; (c) Cyzicus in Mysia, Eros standing facing, with legs uncrossed, an arrow in his r. hand and his l. resting on a column, looking to the front; (d) Tralles in Lydia, Eros advancing l., with a chlamys over his shoulders and arms and an uncertain object (an arrow?) in his outstretched r.
